Filed: 12/9/13 Issued: 3/28/17 An absorbent article sanitary napkin, comprising: a topsheet that forms a skin-facing surface; a backsheet that forms a non-skin-facing surface; an absorbent member that is interposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; the sanitary napkin contains a pair of wings longitudinally extending outward from a pair of lateral side edges of the absorbent member, wherein each of the wings includes a portion of the topsheet and the backsheet; and a target region that is disposed so as to face an excretory part of a wearer when the wearer wears the absorbent article sanitary napkin and that is located between the pair of lateral side edges of the absorbent member, wherein the target region is a region formed between one root and the other root of the wings in the longitudinal direction, wherein the absorbent member is a hydrophilic foam body made of a hydrophobic material subjected to hydrophilic treatment, a plurality of through holes penetrating the absorbent member in a thickness direction are formed at a portion of the absorbent member that is located in the target region, the absorbent member has a layer-stacked structure in which a plurality of layers are stacked in the thickness direction, a ratio of the Klemm water absorption height as measured according to JIS P8141, of a lower layer, which is most proximal to the backsheet, of the layer-stacked structure to that of an upper layer that is most proximal to the topsheet is 2.0 or more, the backsheet is formed of a moisture permeable film that includes a plurality of microvoids, water repellent finishing is performed on a portion, which is located in the target region, of a skin-facing surface of the moisture permeable film, so that water repellent portions are formed, and a ratio of the total area of portions on which the water repellent finishing is performed to the area of the target region is in the range of from 30% to 60%, wherein the absorbent member does not include an absorbent polymer; and its upper and lower layers are bonded to each other and the layers are inseparably integrated with each other.
